Jurgen Klopp responds to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's transfer link to Liverpool

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirming his exit from LA Galaxy this week, the Swede has been linked with Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp has moved to dispel those rumors.

The 38-year-old veteran has been linked with a move back to Europe after leaving LA Galaxy where he joined back in January 2018 after leaving Manchester United.

AC Milan were rumored to be leading the race to sign Ibrahimovic but other clubs including Liverpool, United and Atletico Madrid have been also linked to him.

In an interview with Sportbladet, Klopp responded to Ibrahimovic being linked with a move to Liverpool, "If he had not played for Manchester United before, then we might have considered him. But I'm not even sure he wanted to play here. We're a pretty intense team…"

Ibrahimovic had a decent spell at Old Trafford, winning three trophies including the League Cup, where he scored the winner in the final against Southampton.
