Zimbabwe national team head coach Joey Antipas says his side will go into tomorrow's Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Zambia with a cautious approach.

Antipas believes Zambia is wounded after their disastrous outing in Blida, Algeria in their opening match and they can't go into the game without a strategy.

"We can't go into this game without a strategy. We can not just be attacking like Red Indians. We have to go into this game with a cautious approach because Zambia is wounded. We have to go with a calculated approach and keep things tight and hopefully that will help us," he said.

"It counts for the nothing, That result was just an unfortunate result for the Zambian team. One thing is that we respect Zambia and the quality and it won't be easy. There is no way it will be a walk in the park, We are here for a battle. This game has ingredients of being a thriller. We are also coming from a 0-0 at home so we also licking some wounds. We should have won that match."

Defender Alec Mudimu says the morale in camp is very high and the players are very confident heading into the Zambezi derby.

"Morale is very high, we regrouped quite quickly [from the 0-0 draw with Botswana] and we are keeping high spirits, faith, and belief in each other. The players are confident," he said.

"We are more than prepared to bounce back and rectify the situation, but again its another point picked up so we can [also] pick up so many positives from that game [0-0 against Botswana]
It’s very disappointing when you dominate the game for so long, with so much possession," he added.

Zambia faces Zimbabwe tomorrow in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers matchday 2, slated for Heroes Stadium, kick-off 18:00hrs.
