Zanaco, Buffaloes share spoils

Sensational Zanaco and Green Buffaloes this afternoon played out to a one-all draw in a MTN/FAZ Super League brought forward week 13 clash at Sunset Stadium.

The Bankers were looking to continue their dominance over the Zambia army sponsored out-fit and move close to the top four slots. The match started fifteen minutes late after some of the match officials pitched up at the match venue late, The kickoff moving from 15:00 to around 15:15hrs.

The match was cagey in the first few exchanges as both sides wanted to avoid giving anything away it being a derby. No clear cut chances were created in the first half as both teams failed to conjure up anything special in the final third.

In the second half, the match opened up a bit and chances started coming. Second-half substitute Chitiya Mususu finally broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute slotting home Lawrence Chungu's beautiful cut back to put Sensational Zanaco in the lead.

The lead did not however last as the Soldiers equalized just a minute later following a blunder by captain Ziyo Tembo which granted Paul Simpemba a chance to level matters and he took it both arms, 1-1.

Green Buffaloes had two late chances to win the match but their strikers failed to convert with only the keeper to beat in the end settling for a point.
