Manchester United are reportedly in contention to offer a bid of €60 million to acquire the services of AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo ahead of the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato via Messaggero.
Zanilo has established himself as a highly-rated midfielder in the Serie A and it comes as no surprise the interest he is attracting - Juventus were also heavily linked with the youngster.
According to various reports, United had sent some scouts to go and monitor the player's performance when he featured in Italy's 9-1 win against Armenia and now it has emerged that the club are eager to offer €60 million for the youngster's signature.
It is a lucrative offer that could easily persuade Roma but there is also the fact that Zaniolo is still contracted to the club until the summer of 2024.
The 20-year-old joined Roma in 2018 and has featured in 53 matches across all competitions; scoring 11 goals and involving himself in three assists.
