Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful either Paul Pogba or Scott McTominay will be available for their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
The pair has been missing from United's squad for a number of matches, with Pogba, in particular, out since the draw against Arsenal in September.
Speaking after his side settled for a 2-2 home draw against a stubborn Aston Villa, the Norwegian hinted at having at least one of them back, with the Scot the most likely.
“We have still got two days and we need to look at everyone here as well,” Ole commented at his post-match press conference when asked about the midfield duo.
“We have only got two days, so let's see, but, hopefully, we can see one of them on the pitch. They are working hard behind the scenes.“
What was initially a 'casual' fixture has turned out into an eagerly-anticipated match, with the former Man United manager Jose Mourinho now in charge.
The Portuguese has started life at the London club with a bang, winning his first three matches to turn a toxic environment into a positive one.
He will visit Old Trafford for the first time since leaving in November 2018 following poor results.
Spurs are currently fifth on 20 points from the opening 14 matches, with Ole Gunnar's men a further eighth with 18 points after a similar number of matches.
