πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦βœŒπŸΎπŸ‘†πŸΎπŸ—£ Lebese on club search: People think I want big money

George Lebese is still clubless since he was a free agent in September 2019.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns forward had his clearance given after two seasons at Chloorkop. Upon leaving Pretoria, Pitso Mosimane famously said “let’s be honest, we gave him a chance.”

Speaking to the media as his search for a new club continues, Lebese revealed times are tough. "No one calls, and what I've heard, I think people have this illusion that I'm asking for big money... I don't know about that,"  the 30-year-old from Mamelodi township told Kick Off.

Sundowns’ support for Lebese had also included a loaning out to SuperSport United. Lebese let out that he did not quite imagine that finding a new club would be as challenging as it is now.

"And really, since being free, from my side I thought it was going to be not as hard as it is right now to find myself on the field again.”

"Because now I'm sitting at home and I'm training and I'm hoping and I'm hoping, but nothing's coming and I'm like 'okay, how bad this could be'."
