Solskjaer: Derbies should be played like derbies

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is up for the challenge as they are set to take on Manchester City over the weekend.

United will travel to Etihad Stadium on Saturday to take on City in a highly anticipated Manchester derby. Ahead of the clash, Solskjaer could not resist a cheeky little dig at the noisy neighbors.

"At least we play every year now! It took many years before I played a Manchester derby myself," he said.

"But it's changed in a way. Of course, Man City are a better team now than when I was playing. I think football has changed quite a lot. I think it was allowed a few more proper tackles - with every little angle, everything being scrutinized now, it's more of a technical, tactical game than a physical and mental one.

"But, still, a derby should be played as a derby. We don't play basketball, so we're ready for that if that happens."

United are currently sixth on the log with 29 points while the Citizens are third on the log with 32 points, eleven points behind leaders Liverpool.
