Zambian striker Patson Daka scored his 13th Austrian Bundesliga league goal as Redbull Salzburg thrashed Swarovski Tirol 5-1 in a Week 17 encounter.
Daka opened the scores after three minutes before Norwegian teenage Sensation Erling Braut Haaland could double the lead six minutes later. Masaka Okugawa extended the lead in the 34th minute to make sure the defending Champions went to the break with a commanding 3-0 lead.
In the second half, Takumi Minamino and Andreas Ulmer scored a goal each to make it five-nil. Stefan Hager scored a consolation goal for the visitors five minutes to time, 5-1 the match ended.
Minamino, Haaland, and Daka were rested in the second half for Ashmeru, Hee-Chan Hwang and Enock Mwepu. The win is a motivating factor for the Austrian club ahead of their big match against English Premier League side Liverpool on Tuesday in a do or die UEFA Champions League match.
