The second round of the CAF Champions League continued on Saturday with a chunk of games happening across the continent.
There were wins for Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel and Democratic Republic of Congo’s TP Mazembe over Platinum of Zimbabwe and Zesco United respectively.
A brace from Karim Aribi and Hazem Haj Hassen saw Etoile perch on top of Group B with two wins from two with Platinum bottom of the standings with no points.
Mazembe recorded a 2-1 win over Zesco United in Zambia to maintain their perfect start to their Group A campaign.
Jackson Muleka put Mazembe ahead after just 10 minutes and added a second after the break, scoring in the 63rd minute. Winston Kalengo struck back for the hosts just four minutes later but it was not enough to prevent Mazembe from securing their second group win.
In Group C, Petro Atletico, got their first point of the group campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Algeria's USM Alger. After a tense first half, USMA went ahead through Zakaria Benchaa in the 54th minute.
The hosts fought back and got their equalizer 10 minutes later thanks to a strike from Brazilian Antonio Rosa Ribeiro.
The group winners and runners-up will qualify for the quarter-finals.
