Laliga giants Barcelona made contacts with Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford in the last spring according to reports from Four Four Two.
The reports indicate that Rashford was by Barcelona as they felt he could play across their front three and that his family did speak to the club in spring despite the Catalans knowing they couldn’t afford him.
Rashford has elicited divided opinions from United fans with other thinking that he has not given enough reasons for his high wages at the club. Others think that his young age still gives him room for improvement and the England attacker has shown in recent games why he is among one of the most coveted in world football.
He singlehandedly destroyed Tottenham on Jose Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford last week and was a key figure when United beat their cross rivals Manchester City on Saturday.
The reports further indicated that Barcelona saw Rashford as a perfect replacement of striker Luis Suarez who is not getting any younger and with Moussa Dembele’s constant injuries, he was seen as a player who could slot on their left-wing; a position he has played severally at United.
