Zambia Superleague side Nkwazi has been docked three points by the player status and transfer committee following the use of an ineligible player.
This is according to a later dated 10th December by FAZ Deputy General Secretary Joseph Chimpampwe addressed to Nkwazi and availed to Futaa Zambia.
Nkwazi used an ineligible player Shadreck Peter Mayembe whose international transfer certificate was still with his former club in Zimbabwe when they beat Forest Rangers by a lone goal.
"The player status Committee, having considered the written and oral evidence before it, was satisfied your club used Peter Shadreck Mayembe whose international transfer certificate (ITC) was still with his former club in Zimbabwe.
The Committee ruled as follows :
- The result which was 1-0 in your favor was overturned and Forest Rangers Football club was awarded the full points with a 3-0 scoreline.
- This means our league department will go ahead and reduce your points tally by three points and while Forest Rangers Football club points talky will increase by the same number of points ."
Nkwazi has the right to appeal the decision if they so wish as stipulated by article 43 of the FAZ Disciplinary code.
