Can Arsenal attract a big-name manager?

After the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti by Napoli, the Italian has already been linked with a move to England, with Arsenal said to be his next destination. But, can the London team attract such a big name at the moment?

According to Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness, the answer is ‘no’.

The 60-year-old veteran manager left Napoli after beating Genk 4-0 in the Champions League, but prior to that, they had won none of their last 9 matches in all competitions (DDLDDDDLD). Ancelotti is regarded as one of the most successful managers of all time, having won a total of 20 trophies with six different clubs, including three Champions League titles.

Speaking to Virgin Sport Media, Souness said, "Would the big (managers) take Arsenal at the moment? I'm not so sure. I think (Ancelotti) is a big manager and if you look at the jobs he's had- Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea - you know Arsenal are a fabulous club, but right now it's a difficult job, whoever gets it."

Arsenal sits 9th in the Premier League with 22 points and caretaker manager Freddie Ljungberg might not be in charge for a long time.
