Scotland international Kieran Tierney has suffered a massive blow as it was confirmed that he picked up a shoulder injury during Arsenal's 3-1 win over West Ham United on Monday, Sky Sports revealed.
Arsenal have already been dealt with another blow through defender Hector Bellerin who sustained an injury during a warmup session, while Tierney was substituted in the 29th minute of the match when he collided with West Ham's Michail Antonio.
According to Sky Sports reports, Tierney has been having limited involvement with Arsenal in recent weeks due to the shoulder injury which had been on the lowdown.
Sean Kolasinac was introduced for Tierney while Bellerin was replaced in the starting XI by Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Speaking after to the media after the game, interim manager Freddie Ljungberg revealed that Tierney had been taken to hospital for further checkups and treatment.
When asked on Bellerin, Ljungberg added: "He had a feeling in his hamstring in the warm-up and we took the decision. We weren't going to force anybody on if they didn't feel 100 per cent."
Tierney joined Arsenal in August for £25million from Scottish Premiership side Celtic - he made 11 appearances for the club so far.
