Zambia U20 national team booked their place in the final of the ongoing COSAFA U20 tournament thanks to a 3-0 win over Angola this afternoon at Nkoloma Stadium.
Nkana midfielder Patrick Gondwe was the star of the afternoon netting a brace while Francisco Mwepu continued his goal-scoring run as he made it four goals in four games to complete what was an empathic victory for the hosts.
The final is a repeat of the 2016 edition when South Africa were the hosts with Zambia recording a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Kenneth Malunga and Boyd Musonda.
South Africa edged Madagascar on penalties after a 2-2 draw, which also saw a thrilling second-half comeback after they had gone 2-0 down in the first half.
Zambia and South Africa will square off in the final at 15:00 at Nkoloma Stadium while Angola will battle Madagascar for Bronze in an early kick-off.
