Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri says he feels 100 percent fit and ready to make an impact for his side during the club's busiest period of the current campaign.
Shaqiri has been on the sidelines this season due to a calf injury that saw him faced to wait until early December to make his first start of the current campaign. The 28-year-old returned last week when Liverpool thrashed Everton 5-2 at Anfield, marking his return with a fine goal.
And now after his recovery, Shaqiri says his desire is to build on a Merseyside derby show.
"[I’m] definitely 100 per cent [fit]. Obviously I needed one or two weeks to train but of course, I am happy and feeling good so I’m ready," he told the club's official website.
"I feel good, I feel in shape and I think you saw that against Everton. I’m very happy that I played and got some minutes because I went out for a few weeks. I was very happy firstly that I played from the beginning and I wanted to give a good performance. I was very happy and to come back with a goal in the derby was amazing, [something] I’ll never forget."
"But I am looking forward now to the next games. I’m feeling good and I hope for many more."
