With Chelsea reported to be interested in Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, Brendan Rodgers has handed them a transfer blow insisting that no player will leave the club in January.
Chelsea's transfer ban was lifted by FIFA, meaning that they can now sign after failing to add any new players in the summer.
Frank Lampard has had a problem with the left-back area with Marcos Alonso and Emerson out of form, a situation that has forced Cesar Azpilicueta to slot in the position.
Speaking ahead of their clash against Norwich City, Rodgers insisted that no players will leave the club in January, "There’ll be no-one leaving in January. Categorically.
"I’m sure if we speak, they will have the same message. I speak regularly with Jon [Rudkin] and Top [Khun Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha].
"It’s very clear we want to keep this squad together. We want to ensure they stay around beyond January."
Chilwell will, however, be difficult to lure away from Leicester as his contract runs out in 2024, with the club enjoying a blistering start to the season.
