Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is optimistic a number of his stars will be back to full training with the first team after shaking off various injuries.
The manager spoke after another impressive 4-0 win over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday night, which guaranteed them top spot in their group.
Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah have been missing from the first team, with the Frenchman and the Ivory Coast international particularly sidelined for months now.
”Next week, Eric [Bailly] will start training, Tim [Fosu-Mensah] will start training, Paul will probably start training with us next week properly. So let's see.“
Ole Gunnar is hopeful to have Jesse Lingard back for the Everton match on Sunday, having not trained this week.
The 26-year-old was one of the star performers for United against Manchester City last time out but sustained a knock that has since seen him miss training.
Ole Gunnar made nine changes to the side that started the Derby match, retaining only Antony Martial and Harry Maguire for the clash.
United are on a good roll currently, impressively winning three matches on the bounce in all competitions.
They welcome an Everton side that halted their poor run in the league with an encouraging 3-1 home win against Chelsea last weekend.
