Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has extended his contract until 2024.
There were initial indication Klopp might end his Liverpool spell in 2022 and take a sabbatical, but the 52-year-old has now committed his future to the Merseyside outfit.
Klopp’s decision may not be unconnected with the fact that many of his senior players have made a similar commitment until 2024.
At Liverpool, he has found the perfect home, developing flourishing working relationships under a regime that allows him to go about his work without interference, which is a contrast to many of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Liverpool currently sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and travel to Qatar next week in pursuit of their first World Club Championship title.
They beat Tottenham to win the UEFA Champions League title last season.
