Nkana beat Zesco United by a lone goal to put an end to their 10 matches unbeaten run while Napsa Stars beat Kabwe Warriors away in Kabwe to cement second place.
The MTN/FAZ Super League returned to action this afternoon with four mouth-watering fixtures. Nkana welcomed Zesco United who had gone ten league games without defeat and was unbeaten in all their previous visits at Chilata since 2004.
Congolese striker Idriss Ilunga Mbombo scored a free kick on the 78th minute to guide Nkana to their first home win against Zesco United in over 15 years to put an end to their unbeaten run both against Nkana at Chilata in the league and this season.
In Lumwana, Sensational Zanaco continued their poor run as they could only manage a point against Lumwana Radiants. Chaniza Zulu put Lumwana in the lead after 15 minutes before Chitiya Mususu could level matters 3 minutes later to ensure the two teams shared the spoils.
In Kabwe, A doubleheader came alive as KYSA hosted Kansanshi Dynamos while Kabwe Warriors welcomed Napsa Stars.
Daniel Chama netted a hat-trick as KYSA came from a goal down to beat Kansanshi Dynamos 3-2 and record only their second win of the season.
In the second match of the day, Napsa Stars continued their dominance over Kabwe Warriors as they beat them 3-1 to maintain second place. Doisy Solo, Collins Sikombe and Laudit Mavugo scored the goals for Napsa Stars.
