AZ Alkmaar forward Myron Boadu has admitted that he no longer bears grudges when he faces Ajax Amsterdam after he scored against them over the weekend, Ghanasoccernet revealed.
Boadu found the back of the net in the 90th minute to hand AZ Alkmaar three points in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The 18-year-old has reportedly had a long history with Ajax after the academy rejected him after going on trial with them at the age of eleven.
The youngster who is of Ghanaian descent revealed that it was one of the most heartbreaking moments in his life but further admitted that the rejection motivated him to be a better player.
"That was especially something in the first two years. Then I was extra driven.”
Boadu is currently showcasing impressive form where he has found himself scoring 11 goals, providing 5 assists from 16 matches played.
The teenage sensation has also found the back of the net six times from 11 games in the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League.
