John Makwata's hat-trick breaks a long standing AFC Leopards record

John Makwata bagged a hat-trick in AFC Leopards' 4-1 demolition of Zoo FC to break a 10-year record at the club.

The last player to score a hat-trick for AFC Leopards was DeMonde Selenga back in July 2010 in the 3-4 win over KCB.

The hat-trick takes Makwata's tally to nine goals this season and becomes the second player to score a hat-trick in Round 15 of KPL after George Blackberry Odhiambo scored three against Chemelil Sugar.

Makwata joined Leopards at the start of the season from Al Nasr in Kuwait and has been on form banging in goals for Ingwe.
