Leicester City scored the equaliser in the 74th minute to secure a 1-1 draw to Aston Villa in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal on Wednesday night.
The Foxes who have been enjoying top form in the Premier League controlled most of the game and dominating in their possession had the majority of shots at goal.
Aston Villa opened the scoreline in the 28th minute when Anwar El Ghazi assisted with an impressive cross straight into the box which found Frederic Guilbert who finished the ball with a powerful strike.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers introduced Kelechi Iheanacho in the 69th minute as he came on to replace Ayoze Perez.
The substitution was to prove successful as the Nigeria international repaid Rodgers' faith and scored a screamer in the 74th minute of the contest through Villa's poor free-kick.
The return leg is set for Tuesday, January 28 at Villa Park.
