Former Power Dynamos striker Martin Phiri has joined Green Buffaloes after his contract with seven-time Super League Champions, Zanaco came to an end.
The players' representatives, Next-Gen Sports Agency confirmed the development in a post on their official Facebook page. Phiri has penned a one year deal which will see him stay with the Zambia army sponsored out-fit until January 2021.
"We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Green Buffaloes Football Club (GBFC) over Martin Phiri for a 1-year deal effective 9th January 2020 till 8th January 2021." Next-Gen posted on their Facebook page.
The lanky forward spent the last 3 years with Zanaco but failed to establish himself and fail on the pecking order following the arrival of Chitiya Mususu, Roger Kola and later on Emmanuel Okutu.
At Buffaloes, Phiri will look to fight to be the main striker for Bilton Musonda with Friday Samu being his main rival for the starting spot in the team.
