Kenya international Anthony Akumu is reportedly set to join Absa Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs on a three-year deal as Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei makes his way to Tanzanian outfit Young Africans.
According to Goal, Akumu who has been on the radar of Chiefs following his release from Zambian side Zesco United, was spotted in the stands during Amakhosi's 3-0 thriller over Highlands Park which fuelled the transfer rumours more.
Kotei who initially joined Amakhosi from Tanzanian side Simba FC has failed to make an impact in the squad which has motivated the Naturena-based side to release him in order to fill the foreign-players quota.
Interesting enough, Chiefs fans may remember Akumy who scored for Zesco who knocked Chiefs out of the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs in January 2019 - it is yet to be seen if he will be that much of a valuable asset to the Glamour Boys.
The 27-year-old has been capped 38 times for the Kenya national team.
