Kenyan Premier League
The Kenyan Premier League take over next year was another subject that Mwendwa touched as he urged the clubs to do all they could to attract sponsors to their teams who he said were in dire need of help.
"At the end of this year we will be taking over the management of the league and I hope that by then we will have got someone to sponsor the league. Teams more so from the sugarbeet are struggling after their sponsor's support and they need help.
"Other teams are losing players for free since they are unable to pay them and because of this, I urge the club's to work round the clock to get people (sponsors) who can help them," Mwendwa added.
The Shield Competition sis slate to Kick Off on the weekend of January 18/19 in different fields across the country.
