Unlike any other days where they could travel back to Nairobi or train in Kisumu, Gor Mahia has been camping in Homabay as they prepare for their midweek tie against Chemelil Sugar FC in Kisumu.
Gor lost their second game of the season on Sunday at the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz as they were pushed to fourth on the spot and will be looking to put pressure on the leading pack when they face a struggling Chemelil side who have only recorded one game the entire season.
The Wednesday clash is a week two rescheduled game this coming due to the participation of Gor in the CAF Champions League clash which they have since waved goodbye to.
The one win coupled by a draw sees them placed 17th on the log with four points; four points below Kisumu All-Stars who are also not safe in the relegation race.
On a good day, Chemelil would always give a challenge as they proved when both teams met on 25th April 2018 where they held Gor Mahia to a 2-2 draw.
A win for Gor will see them move to third on the league log with 35 points just two points below Tusker FC who then would have played two more games.
