Ajax FC utility man Daley Blind is back to training after being diagnosed with a heart condition last month.
Blind who previously featured for Manchester United hasn’t featured for Ajax since December 10 after tests revealed that he had a heart muscle inflammation; the Netherlands international fitted with a device to monitor his heart rate since then.
While speaking to Ziggo Sport on Saturday, Danny Blind, the players father confirmed that his son was back in training but didn’t specify the time he will likely return to action.
“It’s going well. He has started his training programme again and is now seeing how that goes and what comes next.
“Ultimately, we all have a date in different date in mind. It doesn’t seem wise to say anything about that right now.”
Blind had suffered dizziness in a Champions League match against Valencia with the 29-year-old not attending the club training camp in Qatar over the winter break.
The player remains a doubt for the Netherlands’ Euro 2020 campaign but will hope to prove his fitness in time to feature.
Blind played over 140 games for United between 2014 and 2018.
