Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca have appointed former Uganda Cranes manager Sebastien Desabre as the club's new head coach reports the BBC.
Desabre comes in to replace Serbian Zoran Manojlovic and has been handed a two-and-a-half-year deal; Manojlovic having parted company with Wydad by mutual consent earlier this month.
It is reported that the Frenchman will be officially introduced to the media on Tuesday after Monday's league game against Olympic Safi.
This will be the second time Desabre will be in charge of Wydad having first coached the club in 2016-2017 when he oversaw 16 games, achieving 9 wins, 6 draws, and one loss.
The Frenchman has been jobless since December having parted ways with Egyptian side Pyramid FC in due to a run of poor results.
Desabre was the coach of Uganda Cranes until 2019 when he left the team after their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Egypt.
Wydad's supporters and administration will expect the new manager to lead a title defence in the Moroccan league and also to win the African Champions League after their elimination from the Arab Cup Championship against their rivals Raja Casablanca.
