Timo Werner is reportedly keen on joining Liverpool in the summer.
The RB Leipzig has emerged as one of the most sought-after striker in Europe, with Chelsea Manchester United and Real Madrid showing interest.
The Spanish giants, however, signed Luka Jovic during the summer transfer window, potentially ending their interest in the German.
The two English giants, however, remain in the hunt for Werner's signature, with Chelsea in particular thought to be keen on snapping him up.
According to the Bild, however, the 23-year-old has become an admirer of the European champions, who are under the leadership of fellow German Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp too is said to be an admirer of the marksman, who would cost upward of €40m.
He is said to be happy to wait until the summer window for any business to be conducted but has set his heart and mind in a transfer to England.
He recently spoke about his admiration for the league, labeling it 'the most interesting'.
"The Premier League is certainly the most interesting league, you have to say,” he said.
Adding: "There is a certain flair to watching the English league and playing there.”
Werner has been sensational in the Bundesliga with Salzburg and is atop the top scorers' charts with 20 goals, same as Robert Lewandowski.
