Former Zesco United assistant coach Tennant Chembo has been appointed as the new Mighty Mufulira Wanderers head coach.
Chembo who was last active as a specialist consultant for relegation-threatened KYSA earlier this season was unveiled in Mufulira earlier today.
THE CHINAMA DEBACLE
After the firing of Anderson Phiri, Wanderers decided to turn to their former coach in Justin Chinama last week.
The appointment was however unsuccessful as Chinama who is a soldier was recalled by the Zambia Army command and redeployed to lower-tier outfit Chindwin Centries.
Meanwhile, they have also signed former Zambia national team midfielder Francis Kasonde as they look to reinforce their squad for the second round of the season.
Chembo becomes the 11th coach appointed by the nine-time Super League Champions in the last five years and has the task of helping Mighty Mufulira Wanderers survive relegation.
Wanderers are currently bottom of the log with 8 points from 18 games and they next face tricky Green Buffaloes on Sunday.
