Spanish lower division club Deportivo de La Coruna has announced the capture of Nigeria’s Uche Agbo.
The club confirmed that Agbo has left Portugal’s Sporting Braga to begin a loan spell with Deportivo. “Uche Agbo, new player of Deportivo. Blessed Uche!,” the club enthused on social media.”
The 24-year-old central midfielder, hailing from Kano, has two Super Eagles caps as well as 18 games for the U20s national side.
At just 24, it is worth noting that Agbo is a well-traveled footballer. He has already played for 13 football clubs starting in Nigeria, to Belgium, England and Italy. The clubs include FC Taraba (Nigeria), Udinese (Italy), Granada (Spain) and England’s Watford.
He also becomes club teammates with Nigeria’s Francis Uzoho as the Spanish club battle to return to La Liga.
