Moroccan striker Walid Azaro has ended weeks of uncertainty over his future at Egyptian side Al Ahly by agreeing to join Saudi side Ettifaq on loan.
Ettifaq on Wednesday announced the move on their Twitter feed.
Reports indicated that the 24-year-old Azaro had fallen out of favour with the technical after the arrival of Senegalese striker Aliou Badji. The fact that Al Ahly had exceeded their foreign players' threshold didn't make matters better for the Moroccan.
Azaro started life at Al Ahly brightly finishing as the league's top scorer in the 2017/2018 season. He has, however, bore the brunt of the impatient Reds fans who have accused him of not pulling his weight this season.
The Reds coach Rene Weiler decided that he was surplus to his requirements and the club has farmed him out to the Saudi league.
Azaro played 89 matches for Al Ahly scoring an impressive 41 goals in all competitions.
