Zimbabwe international Martin Mapisa has moved to Zamora FC.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has left fellow Spanish side Velez for third-tire side Zamora. The deal was confirmed by his former club.

“I came here to Zamora to add my strength to the team so that we get promoted to the Segunda B,” Mapisa said via the club’s news.

First beginning his career at Aces Youth Academy, the Harare-born player now enters his second year in Spain since making the move in 2018.

“And I'm still 20 years old, so I'm gonna do my best to reach my goal of becoming the first Zimbabwean to play in La Liga," the youngster had said upon moving to Spain in January 2018.
