Following stellar performances in the month of November, Tusker FC forward Timothy Otieno has clinched the SJAK Player of the Month award.
Otieno was responsible for over 70% of Tusker's goals in the month of November after scoring five of the seven goals netted by the Brewers.
The former Gor Mahia forward scored against KCB, Western Stima, Posta Rangers and a netted brace against Nzoia Sugar.
Otieno is the club's top scorer with 10 goals this season just, two off the leading top scorer John Makwatta who has 12 goals.
Incidentally, his only other Player of the Month gong came four seasons ago while turning out for Posta Rangers.
Otieno fended off stiff competition from fellow forwards Brian Nyakan of Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars' Oscar Wamalwa.
Otieno was delighted after receiving the award, "I’m so happy to have won the award after an impressive run of goal scoring.
"I knew the award was not far off because of the kind of run the team has been and credit to my teammates for helping me get this recognition.
"That month got me called up to the national team and I want to keep scoring to maintain my stay with Harambee Stars and help Kenya achieve something special.
"I also aspire to lay my hands on the golden boot. It has been my dream and I’ve tried to win it in the past but it looks feasible this season with the entire team firing on all cylinders. They can really help me win it."
