Corazon Aquino became the latest Harambee Starlets player to seal a move to Europe after joining Portuguese top tier outfit Atletico Ouriense.
The Gaspo Youth midfielder has been a key member of the Harambee Starlets team in recent years and was linked with a move away in the USA sometime back after her secondary school education.
Aquino becomes the fifth Starlets’ players to seal a deal abroad after Eldoret Falcons duo of goalkeeper Annette Kundu and defender Ruth Ingotsi recently signed a three year deal with Cyprus outfit Lakatamia FC.
The midfielder played a key role in Starlets' decent run in the 2020 Olympic qualifier where they missed out on qualification after losing to Zambia in the penultimate leg.
Ouriense was promoted to the national top division in 2011–12. In its first year in the Campeonato Nacional de Futebol Feminino it won the championship outright.
Atlético Ouriense became the first Portuguese women's football club to qualify to the UEFA Women's Champions League knock-out stage.
