The 18-year-old Brazilian covered 61.69 metres to score against Chelsea in a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night.
According to OPTA data retrieved by the Premier League, Son Heung-min's strike this season against Burnley and Andrew Townsend's vs West Bromwich Albion in 2016 are the only two times in Premier League history that players have travelled further with the ball before shooting than Martinelli did at Stamford Bridge.
🇧🇷 Martinelli vs Chelsea (61.59m)
It was a staggering effort from Martinelli who sprinted virtually the entirety of 62 metres inside six seconds.
