It was not a bad weekend of continental football for the two Nigerian clubs - Enugu Rangers and Enyimba - in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Rangers travelled to Cairo to beat Pyramids 1-0, thanks to the lone goal from Ifeanyi George.
He received a pass from Isaac Loute before slotting into the net in the 73rd minute.
It was Pyramids's first loss in the group stage of the competition. They had won all of their four previous games, including a 3-1 victory over Rangers 3-1 in the reverse fixture in Enugu.
Rangers are seated third in the group with five points from five matches. They will play their last group game against Al Masry in Enugu on Sunday
In the other game, Enyimba played a 1-1 draw with Morocco’s Hassania Agadir in Aba.
Enyimba suffered an early scare when Youssef Al Fahli put Hassania in front just after two minutes.
14 minutes later, Austin Oladapo put the host back in the game as both sides laboured to end the game 1-1.
The draw sealed HUSA’s qualification for the knockout stage, while Enyimba will have to wait for the last group fixture against debutants San Pedro.
