Sudan's Al Hilal have rejected the appointment of Moroccan Redouane Jiyed as the centre referee of their crucial Caf Champions League match against Egypt's Al Ahly.
In a statement posted on their social media pages, the club said that it will not accept the experienced Moroccan whistleblower to officiate their crucial tie against their northern neighbours.
However, it will be difficult for Caf to accept their request for referee change as such requests and demands in the past have fallen on deaf ears.
Al Hilal are second in Pool B with nine points same as third-placed Etoile Du Sahel. Al Ahly leads with 10points. Etoiletravelto bottom side Platinum while Ahly and Al Hilal clash in a must-win final match of the pool.
