Cesc Fabregas singles out praise for one Manchester United player

Following another decent performance in Manchester United's 0-1 win over Manchester City, Cesc Fabregas has noted Fred's improving performances.

United were bundled out of the competition despite the win after suffering a 1-3 loss at home to City in the first leg of the Carabao Cup.

Fred failed to live up to expectations in his debut season at United but has improved his game this campaign in the absence of Paul Pogba.

The Brazilian missed the opening four games of the season but has never looked back after being handed game time by Solskjaer as he has now played the full 90 minutes in United’s last 17 Premier League matches.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder is bound to start more games this season following injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.

Fabregas took to Twitter to laud Fred for his improved performances, "Fred has been very good in the last few big games I’ve watched him."
