Former champions Egypt on Wednesday begun their quest for another Futsal Africa Cup of Nations with an easy 9-0 over newcomers Guinea in Laayoune, Morocco.
The Pharaohs were unplayable in large periods of the game with Ahmed and Mostafa Khalaf scoring a brace each. Abdelrahman Mohamed, Khaled Said, skipper Elmoatazbellah Abdelhalim, Mohamed Abdelrazek and Mohamed Mohamed, added one each.
In another match played on Wednesday, Angola started their 2020 Futsal AFCON on a winning note after seeing off Mozambique 7-4 in an 11-goal thriller.
Mozambique's Jose Da Silva Uetimane and Abilio Levessene scored two own goals. Emanuel Filemon had a brace while Felipe Gomes, Leandro Muhongo and Joao Cambangula scored a goal each. Da Silva struck a hat-trick for the Mozambicans with Mario Jona Junior adding the fourth.
The victory sees Egypt take a comfortable leap to lead Group B with Angola in the second place.
