Nigerian defender Ebuehi desperate to leave Benfica

Nigerian defender Tyronne Ebuehi is reportedly eager to exit Benfica for a loan deal before the close of the January transfer window.

Ebuehi struggled with his fitness this season after returning from a long-term injury and has featured in seven games for the Benfica’s U23 side and made four appearances for the Team B.

He joined Benfica in 2018, penning a five-year contract but has failed to make a single appearance with the senior team.

Complete Sports quote a report in Portuguese online news hub abola.pt as saying Ebuehi is pushing for a loan move to another club before the end of the winter transfer window.

The 24-year-old spent four years at Dutch Eredivisie outfit ADO Den Haag where he made 78 league appearances for the club and scored one goal before joining Benfica.
