The Dutchman had Ajax flying on top of the Glad Africa Championship with a two-point lead and a game in hand. Ulderink joined Ajax last season after Muhsin Ertugral stepped down early on.
Experienced assistant coach Calvin Marlin is expected to lead the team away at Free State Stars this weekend. Ajax now have 11 more games to fulfil the dream of returning to Mzansi's elite division.
