Harambee Starlets duo make their debut in Cyprus

Harambee Starlets duo of Annedy Kundu and Ruth Ingosi made their long-awaited debut for Cyprus top-flight side Lakatamia FC on Sunday.

The duo joined the club last month from Kenya Women Premier League side Eldoret Falcons and had to wait for the required paperwork to finally feature for their new side.

Their debut, however, didn’t go as planned as they fell 2-0 to hosts Lefkothea FC in a match that was hosted at the Gipedo PAEEK Stadium.

With 17 games gone, Lakatamia finds themselves in position six in the ten-team log with 22 points having recorded seven wins, one draw and nine losses.

Their opponents Lefkothea are in position four on 36 points with Apollon Limassol the leaders of the league with 51 points.

The Starlets duo will hope that they can get more minutes when they take on Nea Salamis on Sunday 9 February; their opponents currently on position occupying the last position on the log.
