Draw held for West Africa women's tourney

The draw for the 2020 Union of West African Federations (UFAO) Zone A women's tournament was on Saturday held in Sierra Leone.

The tournament has brought together eight West African nations including the hosts Sierra Leone, Cape Verde, Guinea, and Senegal. These have been drawn in Pool A.

In Pool B, Mali will play the Gambia, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau. Mauritania declined to participate and instead they will send a team to North Africa Women's Cup in Algeria.

The tournament that had been scheduled to take place last year was pushed to new dates and will run from February 25th to March 7th in the Sierra Leone cities of Bo and Makeni.
