Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that plans are ongoing to secure new signings in the summer.
The Gunners were not busy during the recently closed January transfer window but managed to sign two defenders; Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari, but are expected to go all out in the summer.
Speaking on Friday afternoon in his pre-match conference, Arteta though noted that they are keenly analyzing some of their top targets, as they should be 'right' for the club.
"Absolutely, we have to plan," Arteta responded too the question on their summer transfer plans.
"We need to know the direction we want to head and to do that we need to bear in mind different scenarios. With that in mind, I need to tell the club what we need, where we think we can improve and where we want to aim.
"If we all aim for the same things and put a plan together to try to execute it and make the process as short as possible."
Among those mentioned as possible targets for Arteta and company is Villareal duo of Samuel Chukwueze and Pau Torres, whom Santi Carzola confirmed last week that were attracting attention from various European sides including the Gunners.
The club has also been linked with RB Leipzig's central defender Dayot Upamecano, who is enjoying a stellar campaign in Germany.
