Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers believes striker Jamie Vardy can enter the 100-goal club with the club as they continue with their Champions League chase.
Vardy is three goals from becoming a Premier League centurion, joining a high-profile list that includes Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, and Sergio Agüero.
Speaking ahead of their Friday clash against Wolves at the Molineux on Friday, Rodgers said: “He’s refreshed and he's ready to make an impact in the final part of the season. These things happen. Part of that was he was out injured and was working his way back in.
“I've no doubt that he's the player that will always be the threat and he's always going to get those opportunities.
“It's the responsibility of the team to create opportunities for him because he's that type of striker. He needs the last pass or the cross. In a few games, he's been unfortunate not to score. But he's such a threat and that will come again, I'm sure.”
Vardy is the current leading scorer in the Premier League after netting 17 goals but he has been on a downward trajectory in recent games with the 33-year-old just netting one goal since December 8.
The 33-year-old is the leading marksman in the league this season, with 17 goals, but has scored only once since netting a double at Aston Villa on Dec 8.
