According to reports, the current Man City ban that sees the club banned from European competitions for the next two seasons will have midfielder Kevin De Bruyne in ‘tears’ too as he will miss out on about £2.5m in bonuses.
The HLN reports that this ban will result in De Bruyne taking a financial hit with regards to his contract, which includes bonuses related to the Champions League.
The report claims that De Bruyne, who possesses a contract until 2023, could lose the opportunity to earn an extra £2.5m, which is just an addition to his weekly wage of £230,000.
After news of the ban hit the media houses on Friday, papers have been speculating on who will stay and who might leave the club, but now, Pep Guardiola and Raheem Sterling have reiterated their commitment to the club.
It will only be a matter of time before any other come out, but it really is an interesting situation at the Etihad.
City will play West Ham tomorrow in the Premier League as the visitors look to save themselves from relegation.
