Serie A giants Napoli will have to do without the services of defender Kalidou Koulibaly when they take on Barcelona on Tuesday in the Champions League.
The Senegalese defender recently returned to action after spending two months out due to a hamstring injury but he has not been included in the squad that will take on the Spanish giants.
Koulibaly returned to action on February 9, playing the full 90 minutes of a 3-2 defeat at Lecce in Serie A but manager Gattuso feels he still needs some time out.
But he has an unused substitute in the cup win at Inter and he was not involved in the league victories at Cagliari and Brescia.
“Koulibaly against Barcelona? He still has a swelling, I prefer to stop him for 7-10 days and then evaluate how he feels physically,” Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso said.
Apart from the Senegalese, Gattuso does not have any other injury concerns, with new signings Diego Demme, Stanislav Lobotka and Matteo Politano named in the matchday squad.
