πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ πŸ† Azam Cup: Simba survives Stand United scare as Ndanda, Namungo win

Tanzanian giants were made to dig deep and see off a stubborn Stand United 3-2 in post-match penalty kicks after both teams had played to a 1-1 draw in an Azam Cup match played at Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga.

Simba took the lead in the 51st minute through a Hassan "HD" Dilunga penalty kick but the hosts were soon on level terms when dangerman Miraj Selehe turned in a beautiful cutback from Maulid Fadhili.

Simba converted their three of their five spot-kicks as Stand could only see their two kicks hit the back of the net.

In another Cup match, Panama FC lost 2-5 to visiting Sahare All Stars at Independence Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Mbeya City were dumped out after losing 1-2 to high-riding Namungo at Sokoine in Mbeya while in Mtwara, Ndanda FC made light work of Kitayosa beating them 3-1 to advance to the quarterfinals.
