Arsene Wenger: This is what I like about Zinedine Zidane

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has described Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as "humble."

The 47-year-old is the only coach to win the Champions League three seasons in a row and despite that feat, Wenger pointed out that modesty is what he admires most in him.

Speaking to beIN Sports, Wenger acknowledged the fellow Frenchman's success both on and off the pitch.

"Zidane was touched by angels in his bed when he was a kid and everything he does is successful. What I admire with him is that he has kept humility during his career and after now as well as a coach," he said.

Wenger left Arsenal in 2018 after leading the club for 22 years where he won three English Premier League titles as well as seven FA Cup trophies.

"He never teaches lessons to people, his feet are on the ground and you have to respect the man he is more than all the rest. In football, you win and you lose, but the man is always there and I think he’s been a great example on that front."

Zidane ended his illustrious playing career at Real Madrid where he made 155 appearances scoring 37 times in a five-year spell. He took over the reins as the coach in 2016 winning La Liga and three Champions League trophies. He quit in 2018 but was asked to return to the helm of the club in 2019 after Santiago Solari was sacked.
